It’s alive!

It’s been a while on here. No excuses other than to say, life has gotten crazy. But it’s time for an update, especially about Winter Wonderland.

October saw my return to stage at the Hastings Fringe Festival. We performed at The Common Room, and it was a blast. I took to the stage in my Halloween dress and danced my little heart out to Elle King’s “Good Girls” and Eartha Kitt’s “I’d Rather Be Burned As a Witch”. I had a fab time and got some amazing feedback. We even had a lovely journalist review us. You can read that here.

With barely time to catch our breath, Crown On Dance was launched. This is a joint venture between myself and Cherry Boomb. Cherry was Miss Burlesque 2015 and after a stint wowing crowds in London she has returned to New Zealand, runs the Boombfunk Variety Performers, and now teaches dances class alongside me.

Dance Classes

You can find out more about Crown On Dance at our website, on Facebook, or Instagram. We’ve got five weeks of class left for the year. And will be launching our new class structure in the new year. So, if you’re a local lass, we would LOVE to have you along.

Now, back to the Boombfunk because we have a new show coming to the Paisley Stage in just two weeks time. AHHHHH, it’s just two weeks time!!!

I give you, Winter Wonderland!

Winter Wonderland

I am so excited to be part of this show. It’s going to be a night of spectacular performances and just a lot of fun! At Winter Wonderland I will be performing two solo dances. Which I would love to tell you all about, but I can’t. All I can tell you is that the course of true love never did run smooth, not even when you fall in love with one of Santa’s elves. (Keep an eye on my Instagram for more about that.) And your other hint is, who doesn’t love pretty shiny things?

We will also be bringing some of our faebulous Crown On Dance ladies up on stage to give you a taste of what we do in class.

You can check out some of the other ladies I will be sharing the stage with at the Winter Wonderland show by checking out the Boombfunk Variety Instagram and Facebook pages as we all get introduced.

Guess who was yesterday’s gal, picture from my trip to The Very Vintage Day Out.

Jai Lefay Winter Wonderland intro

Speaking of VVDO2018… which I had a faebulous time at, Kiki Kisses was crowned Miss Pin Up NZ for 2018 and guess what!?! I get to share the stage with her at the Winter Wonderland show. I am so excited!

Tickets are selling like hotcakes, so get in quick if you want to be part of a night that will be oh so merry and bright!

I shall return soon with a NaNoWriMo update and more. But until then,
